    Well here it is...The almost final demise of the once proud k98. In this instance it is the VG98. Anyone else got one? If so, please post!

                  9, Check out the milling on the bolt handle. It surley had be rejected earlier in the war but pulled out for this occassion.

                    10, This is my favorite. Check out the counter sunk muzzle. This was done so that if grandfather/kid fritz somehow got the muzzle plugged with whatever they could still fire the weapon and not blow it up. Jeeze, you gotta love this weapon!

                            I had one years ago but it was so sad looking I just had to get rid of it! Yours is the best example I have ever seen though!

                              Thanks for the pictures. Those are the first "real" pictures that I have seen of one of these.

                              It pretty much shows how the Germans were out of recources and time. Amazing that they lasted as long as they did.
