    Colt savage

    'Morning to all!

    I'm looking for a collector which own a beauty Colt Savage .45 to publish on the italian militaria magazine Uniformi.

    The autor who have write the article have sent to me a low quality pics… too poor for a nice article.

    I'm looking for someone that can take some high resolution image from his gun.
    I would suggest the shots that you have to take of her for me.

    His name will obviously appear in the credits.

    There's anybody that could help me?

      If I still had one I would be more than glad to help.

      To date there has been nothing definitive as to who actually made the S marked slides. A requirement for those producing the Model 1911 was that the name and address of the maker be on the slide, which the S marked slides don't have. If you compare the patent dates to a Remington-UMC slide, they are identical. It is known that Remington-UMC had left over parts when WWI ended, and by removing their name and address they would have been acceptable to U.S. Ordnance for rebuilds.
