    Does anyone collect Mauser 1934 or HSc's?

    I would like to know if anyone collects Mauser Models 1934 or HSc's? I am trying to build a collection mainly collecting the Navy issues. If anyone else collects these please let me know. Bob

        Thanks Bill.... Are you having problems finding these in collector condition or is this just limited to me. I can find HSc's, but the Navy is quite difficult to come by. Are the Model 1934 becoming increasing scarce? I have only been collecting these for about one year. Is the best place to find these from other collectors? I have been to gun shows and placed ads in newspapers but have not approached other collectors or dealers. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Bob

          Bob, All model 34 Mausers are hard to find Police, Navy, Army.. Espically the Navies,and Police issue ones there are at least one or two of each at the Large shows but are getting up there, beware of fakes in the 34 Navy...... BILL

            How are they faking the 34 navy? Are they engraving the eagle. This is my largest fear that a fake will slip by me. I can see on the 34 police with the E/L on the right side how it could be faked. I have several 1934 both Navy and Police that I have studied under magnification and I believe I know what to look for, but a good fake could get by me. When I go to shows I always carry my jewelers loop. What should I look for? Once again any help is appreciated. Bob

              Know who you are buying from..Check the front grip for approiate N and O markings, look for tampering, look at the magazines......Just examine everyone you see at shows...............
