    Fake P-38 Grips??

    Happy New Year All!
Is anyone aware of any organized effort to fake or reproduce any of the original WWII production P-38 grips? For instance, does anyone know if the red brown bakelite grips were faked with any of the P1529, P1528 mold markings? If so, does anyone have images they can provide? I am not aware personally of the existence of them. Always cautious with so many other pieces being faked!!
    Thanks a bunch.

I have not heard of any serious faking efforts on P38 military pattern grips. I would think that the style you inquire about, with the sawdust chips and the reddish/brown color would be very difficult and expensive to fake and get right
