    Gewehr 33/40(t)

    On my K98s all parts are numbered, even the screws and bolts but on my G33/40s the only parts that are numbered is the stock, bolt, and receiver, why is that?

    Its a czechoslovak Brno production typical schema, serialed are barell, reciever, bolt and buttstock, other part should be interchangable.

      Does any one know what the little, what looks like to me a lion holding an axe is for
      on the receiver above the serial number is for?
      It's not WW2 German is it?

        Norway stamping .
        Many original G33/40 were used post war by the norwegian police "politie".

                  Thank you for your kind words. I've added a couple photos of my two K98s and G33/40s for you to take a look at.

                  K98 - 42 (Mostly mismatched numbers)
                  K98 - S/243 (All matching numbers except stock)
                  G33/40 - dot (No matching numbers)
                  G33/40 - 945 (Bolt mismatched)
