    Us & s .45acp

First, let me beat everyone to the bad side of this weapon...YES, it has been reblued. Someone did this over 20 years ago and it stings just a little. The job they did is better than average but in the end it is a reblued weapon. That being said...it is made by the manufacturer Union Switch and Signal in 1943 according to the serial number. It has the RCD in the circle and the P next to the clip release button. I have not broken this weapon down yet to check out the markings "inside" only because I'm not 100% sure on how to do this but in time I will. But for now, even with it being reblued, I love the weapon because not many survived compared to the Colts, Ithaca's and Remington Rand's.

Not many were produced compared to Colts, Ithacas, and Remington Rands. A total of only 55,000 were manufactured, all in 1943. Yours was probably produced in August or September of that year.

About the only thing to look for inside is the barrel maker, and High Standard would be correct with a HS on the right side of the lug and a P on the left side of the lug.

Thanks JP, I will keep it in mind when the breakdown occurs.
