Thanks and here's a couple more sideplate pics . Lever and retainer look blued but are actually heat treated like several other parts . Wish I was better with a camera as the E2 on the sideplate is actually double stamped with one very light and almost completely separate from the normal one .

No need to apologize for this one Ford Nut!! It's a Krieggie!! and a nice one to boot. Many would say that a Luger is a Luger, is a Luger. But after you've studied a Krieghoff or two, you well know that there IS a difference. And the devil is in the detaails.
Goodly Did, Ssir!!The probability of being watched is directly proportional to the stupidity of your act.

Thanks Ronnie , I am trying to help with info on these as I couldn't find much here .
The heavy Godet and Rettenmeier SB amongst others are with me BECAUSE OF THE HELP I got here . Always wanted crosses to go with the Lugers but was afraid of crapolla . The collective knowledge here is IMPRESSIVE to say the least I am just trying to add something that is in my wheelhouse .
Car [ 1933 FORD ] is summer wheels with a nephew [ Troy ] checking it out .
Also to clarify this is in no way shape or form a sales pitch for this gun . IT IS STAYING HERE . Thanks for the interest but it is DEFINATELY NOT for sale .

Same placement of the early proof on mine . See post 10 . Gibson shows different placement on one on page 91 . That said I do not have anything handy to compare it to and looking on other sites and in books did not give me clear enough pics to form an opinion . Interesting ???? Can you post a pic or 2 of the front ?

It doesn't match up with the one in this 1936 on the following ,
exposed bottom is more squared on mine .
ridges in the knob are the same count but much sharper on mine .
finish is much smoother on mine .
Color is off .
This is only to say it is different than a 1936 or original contract gun . BUT that proof [ if real ] would only be on a late gun . The lesser quality of finishing could be explained that way also .
I am really saying I don't know and posting it on Stills site should get a better answer for you . Dave

It came in a small group of parts bought about 20/25 years ago. I didn't even know it had the acceptance mark until I started sorting the parts out several years later. Most of the parts that would normally be numbered were not. Appeared to be a small lot of spare parts.
Color doesn't mean a lot on the internet. I belong to one forum that the photos have a slight color shift after posting.
