Couldn't resist this . 1936 Krieghoff Luger not pristine but for the $'s I can live with it . Gun is 6624 and had 2 non Krieghoff mags with it . Dandy non Krieghoff 1936 holster with it also . I found Krieghoff mag # 5310 and MAY be interested in trading it for one closer . Reason for the MAY bit is it is really a nice mag and I don't really want to go backwards on condition .

The coarse checkered brown grips were standard by the time this gun was put together . The fine checkered " RITZMANN " as they are commonly called grips were long gone by this ones birthday and the black grips don't show up until the 1940 run . The fine checkered grips were actually made by Rommler but are never called that .
Reason I am posting this is I couldn't find a descriptive thread on these here . As hard core Krieg fans know there are lots of little tells on these and this is a decent example for that . Plenty of nicer ones around but the little stuff is all here on this one . Notice the frame has the " 7 " - not the star . I keep trying to get a good shot of the right side to catch all the different colors but am struggling so far . Small pic in post 6 catches part of it . Used to be I didn't even bother looking at one that looked all the same blue color and Krieg strawing is pretty noticeable also . Straw on this one in protected areas is pretty minty and has not been cleaned - dulled .
Anyone want detailed pics of a certain area or part let me know . Stills site has plenty of these already but I couldn't find any here . Dave
NOT TRYING TO SELL THIS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually looking for another 1940 now .

Thank you, 1933,
I have owned a few Lugers, but no Krieghoff made ones, don't really know much about them, they turn up so rarely - obviously I'm familiar with the maker.
I should have researched the grip before mentioning in your thread, my bad.
Thanks for the photos and information, well done!
Pit.

You are welcome Sir , No problem at all and that is why it is here , not much info on these here . Definitely nicer ones around but there is enough left of this one to get the flavor of one . AND these are also quite possibly the most messed with Lugers as a manufacturer so pics of the little tells is needed here . DaveOriginally posted by pitfighter View PostThank you, 1933,
