My Japanese T-97 Sniper

What a great T-97 sniper Bill Grist had posted earlier. Anyway, here's my T-97, 6.5mm, sniper. It's mid to a later war one. The receiver is still rough machined as it didn't receive the final smoother maching. You can see where the Mum and charecters are deeply stamped to allow additional metal removal during final maching so they still would show. The lower band was'nt finished either in that the holes for the monopod were not drilled out. The stock is more cruder/roughtly then the earlier rifles also. Ray
