    Where to get a g43?

I would like to get one, but I'm having trouble finding one, I saw one at a gun show a year ago, but never can find any more, seems like the only guns you find from ww2 in gun shows around here is p38's, late war k98's, and russian stuff.

I was hoping someone might put me in the right direction, or if anyone is looking to sell.

Baub, First of all welcome to the forum....And also good luck finding a G/K43...They're rather elusive when you really want one...Took me a number of years myself...These rifles have gained a greater interest since Darrin Weaver came out with "Hitler's Garand"....So the competition has picked up...My advice is just keep pounding the shows, talk to people at the shows, watch the internet(Auction Arms, Gunbroker, etc.)....And have your credit card ready, 'cuz you're gonna pay....Good Luck, Bodes

        site

        Hi,

A good source (or starting point) was Brian´s site about the G43: www.gewehr43.com . However the site is down nowadays and I have no clue about if they will return...

Does anyone has any information about this?

        Douglas.

Unless you stumble into a deal you will pay at least $1200 for a decent G.43. In this price range you can still get a complete but mismatched or refinished gun. An all matching unmessed one will be closer to $2000.

I guess the one I saw wasn't a g43 then, that or the guy didn't know.

And for a minty example, rarer G43 bcd code, or even one with all the toys(spare parts and manual in the stock) add an additional $300-$1,000 real US "greenbacks" to that $2000 pricetag....Bodes

Check one of our sponsors, Brock Guns, to see what top end G/K43s, K98ks, snipers and accessories go for. The choice stuff is not cheap. You can always get lucky and find good stuff for less, but you have to know what you are doing to buy one at a show.
