    P08 matched mag

Forum members, Mr. Gottlieb has one of his online auctions up and running and has a 1936 Luger w/matching magazine in it.....Now I don't claim to be an expert on Luger magazines, but I don't feel comfortable with this one.....It's not WaA'd where the serial number appears....Just curious as to what others think?.....Bodes

    Luger magazine

I don't believe it is correct. Even if correct, I wouldn't want it with only the serial number.

Here's the other magazine listed in the auction....Not matching but looks more like the one 1933 Ford Nut posted....Bodes

Not even close. Font is to small! And condition (finish) is to good to be true. And what about the suffix?

The term "Matching" or "correct" does not make it original!

FWIW the " not matching " mag posted by bodes in post 4 is an excellent reference pic to keep . Classic example of how a early 1938 S/42 mag bottom should look and the side number looks to be a 1 . No comment on the tube being bent above the retaining pin though ?!? The one I posted is the spare for a 1936 S/42 like the one this thread is about .
