    German used RADOM P35

    Dear all,

On behalf of a good friend of mine, I would like to ask your help with a few issues.

My friend - who resides in Norway - has a nice P35 RADOM, 9 Mm., pistol that is serial numbered 'D2805' and Waffenamt marked WaA77 (it seems).

The gun is in great condition and was probably captured after the war. Is this a common pistol or quite rare? The gun came with several boxes of ammunition.

My friend would really like to buy an original WWII holster for this gun. Are these easy to obtain and if so, where?

Any reaction to this thread is most welcome!

Thanks in advance! And of course to all...a very merry X-Mas!

    Best regards,

    Coco

    Hello,

The Radom pistol you describe is not a tough pistol to find in the USA, the pre war and late war pistols do draw a fair penny.

The original holster is a RARE bird and seldom seen, I had the luck of getting one complete with cleaning rod a year ago ( I will post a picture if you would like? ).

They are a sturdy and robust pistol and worthy of collecting!

    Regards,
    Robert

Ya'll keep you eyes open for the bnz stamped radoms...they are the ones to find! If I can ever get my pictures back up will post it! They were grey phosphate and not many made in 45...we are wondering who in the WH they were made for?

        Robert,

I don't think Radom Holsters are that scarce? I know right now where there are at least 4 or 5 for sale. Also, I see these for sale at just about any gun show I go to? Prices for good ones are usually around the $75-$100 range.

        "Phosphateb",
Are you looking for one of these? (see pic below, I know Robert will love this pic! )

Right side view for you. Sorry, No "BNZ" marked slide (those are extremely rare!). But this an all matching "K" series Radom.

            Matt,

Nice pictures of a VERY nice pistol! The holster I was speaking of was the Polish "pre-war" version it was the one with a section for holding the brass Polish made cleaning rod.

              Robert,

Thought you would like the pics!

I figured you were probably talking about the pre-war Polish holsters, since you mentioned the cleaning rod. Yes, those are pretty hard to find, but lately I have been coming across them more often than usual?

Hey Coco! If you are looking for an original holster they are around here in the states. Prices are $100.00-150.00 US dollars. I have seen more late war mfg. of late not to may 1940's-1943's There are some repo's around for about $80.00-100.00 they are not too bad.
I saw one BNZ radom 4 years ago. Should have bought it. The fellow wanted a small fortune then. One of those I should have. Paul R.
