    Request for Help With Gun Sight

    Gents;

    What do we have here? We know its German WWII and it is made to fit over the barrel of a Mauser rifle. There is a clear glass lens mounted diagonally in the upper section.

    Any help identifying this object is greatly appreciated.

    Not sure, but it could be a training device used for shooting instructor to see what the soldier was pointing at, so he could correct the position.

        We have the original storage carton for this device too. We have attached a photo.

        Is there a particular name for this sighting device?

        Are these uncommon?

          An Aim Corrector Mirror. Don't know the name in german...
