I bought this 30mm canon last week. It is from a Messerschmit Me 109 what crashed in 04. dec. 1944 by russian infantery rifles fire. The pilot attacked an russian marcher column near a hungarian village "Nagyszokoly". He died when he crashed to the ground. His name was Fl.lt. Sándor Kovács from hungarian 101. fighter regiment. His body buried in cemetery of this village but he was anonymous end of the '80th years, when a researcher find his grave and his name in 1989. The MK 108 sombody buried in the ground but the propeller hub was in his grave. Early 90th a night some gipsies stolen the aluminium propeller. You can to see on photos of the rest in hub. Some years later we restored the grave with a propeller reproduction but this hub stayed in my Baka museum in city of Szekszárd. The MK 108 found sombody 4-5 years ago in the ground next to a house in village Nagyszokoly. The back with the recoil springs lost.
