Just picked this up, 1883 reichsrevolver with original holster. Unit marked B.1.R.A.2.66 Is that Bavarian 1st regiment Artillery? Also interesting because it has R. E. branded into the grip, Love these old single actions. Am going to get some black powder 44 russian to display with it, may try to shoot it one of these days.

I believe the unit marking should be interpreted as ...Second Battalion, First Bavarian Reserve Artillery Regiment. It's a shame about the grip plate.Comment
