MG 34 in Spanish Civil War?

I have just seen this other thread in which Oregon member mentions TNWfirearms MG34. In their web

they state MG34 was used in SCW:

a) German army "never" took part in the SCW, but a group of german volunteers (same is happening in Ukraine right now with Russia...)

b) It is possible that the first series could have been field tested in Spain but I have never found any information that confirms the fact...Does any other member have any faithfull information? and graphic evidence, of course.

I have read that the Panzer 2 may have served in Spain in small numbers.
Aust A or B with Panzer Abteilung 88 of the Legion Condor.
If that is true, then I would say yes.

As far as know, only Panzer I served in Spain, mostly model A. These used MG13 Kurtz, tanker version of MG13. I have seen some of these in museums.

I know Spain imported 425 MG34s in 1943-44 within the Bär programme, that included 20 PzkpfW IV, 10 StuG III G and several undreds of sidecar BMW motorbikes, so out of these 425, 40 were panzermantel (I've got two of those). None of the spanish contract MG34 I have registered dates before 1941 but from time to time I see someone mentions they WERE used during the SCW....but no proof.
