Fantastic score! They are seldom seen with a matching holster and both mags. Hang on to this one as it would be very hard to replace.

Unfortauntely it's near impossible to trace the history of these guns as they were issued to a wide variety of branches. I've even read that Police marked guns made their way to the SS and Luftwaffe, but I don't know how much validity there is to that.

Did you acquire this directly from the vet? It would be great to hear how and where he acquired it.

I acquired the pistol from the son of a vet. He said his father was a German speaking Gi tasked with ordnance disposal during the war. He would interrogate prisoners in the attempt to locate and capture munitions stockpiles. He didn't know what unit his father was assigned. I wish i had met the vet that captured the pistol but sadly he passed away several years ago.

I found another similar pistol on the internet with similar markings on the holster and magazines that was reported captured at Dachau.

Who knows? So much of the history is getting blurred with time.

Super rig!! One of the best I've seen & having all matching is crazy cool. If OK, here's mine; question, has anyone shot their's, nice to shoot?

I have a shooter Hsc, that has lost all of it's collector value, that shoots great. Nice tight little pistol that is surprisingly accurate. Fun to shoot. I would never shoot a collectable gun. Things do break. I have to many others that if they break no big deal.

Nice Rig. A piece of history. If you shoot it, go easy. I have read that they break firing pins. I've never had that problem.
