Zf39 Scope Case?

I recently purchased a US sniper scope from an estate and it came in a case that I do not recognize. Doing an internet search I found repop Zf39 cases that look exactly like it. I can find no distinct markings on the case (ghosts that could be stamps) and they do not show up on the pics. Could someone tell me what to look for regarding stamps and where to look? I would gladly post pics but it appears despite what the FAQ's say, I may need to post from a web host. I click on image, etc., and it asks for a URL. Am I doing something wrong? Just noticed in the bottom left it indicates I cannot post attachments.. must not frequent the forum enough.

You have to be an Association Member to post photos directly. Otherwise you have to use an outside system. Hard to explain all the details of an original scope can. A number of them have been posted in the past in the Optics Section. Assuming you mean a metal scope can and not a leather case.

Leather Scope Case

Thank you for the reply and information. Unfortunately the case I am asking about is a leather scope case. I see several replicas on ebay, etc., but no real ones. This case is of WWII vintage. Regards,
