Picked up this zinc box measures 17cm (6,5") x 12cm (4,7") x 4cm (1.5") deep, on the lid is engraved "7,5cm. M15 für Res. Federn Kassettee" the market trader who sold the zinc box thought it was a WW1 or WW2 piece. The only thing I can associate with M15 is the 08/15 light-weight German machine gun. The script reads to me (without fully understanding it) = 7,5cm. M15 for reserve spring cassette. Does anyone know what this box was used for or understand the script ? any relevant information welcome.
