    STG44 help/info wanted

I will be picking this original STG44 up in a few weeks time & was wanting opinions on it, positive or negative. It's an old spec deac (UK based) with a manufacture date of 1945. The pouches are repro as informed by seller, the sling has a RZM & SS marks in the circles, been told by another these markings are not original & have been added at a later date. Not sure if the sling or the mags are real, seller never said they were not. Has the ERMA manufacture code af, it also comes with original oiler bottle. 2 of the mags look to be shorter than the other 3. Any info on this gun would be very much appreciated.

Apologies for the quality of some of the pics, all I have at the moment.
Thanks for any help or information given.

    Cheers Tim.

    Hello,

the AF is part of the serial number. the picture were you see your CPU in the back ground on the flat in front of the magazine well is were the manufacturer will be stamped. most likely Erma and will be QLV marked might also have a COS marking also they supplied the receivers ERMA made into a firearm, I believe last I checked AF was very late near the end. not my area but trying to help as for a breif time I owned a parts kit I now regret selling.

Looks very late Erma, yes. The mp is reblue postwar, sling repo. Mags are made new today, so not sure. It nice but not used in ww2 likely!

What is the scoop on the mp43/1's being the rarest model? I was under the impression they were were being made during the same time as the mp44's. Something to do with the thread cap on the end of the muzzle? Or were they just a fill in from the 43 to the 44 production?

Thanks for the info Paul however, I was asking if they are rare now not if they were in 1945! Also I have found out from an expert that this was manufactured in early March & would likely have been used in WW2. This we will probably never find out though.
