    Hi Guys, Have just paid up my WAF membership again so I thought I would share some pics with you all. Went to the Durham Light Infantry Museum today and found this nice FG42.

          Was there any history on how it was acquired, where, when?

            No history with it but they also had a Panzerfaust and a Nazi flag that were captured in Normandy 1944 by the DLI.

                  I have to ask - did you lean in and cock the rifle, as I notice the charger is locked back in the last pic?

                  Good to know it still has some moving parts.

                      Interesting. That particular one is last listed as being in private hands in Switzerland. Obviously, the sources are wrong on that one!

                        Hi Pitfighter, Ha Ha well spotted I could not resist seeing if it would cock! The action was nice and smooth. I wonder if it was ever de-activated.

                          Did you leave it cocked? If you did...the spring might get damaged is in the same position toooooo looooong. Yo better go back, ask for some rounds and test it Don't forget to clean it once finished.
