Here is picture of the bolt markings on my 1940/945 33/40 with a round bolt. Any ideas on what they are?

I agree with Bill, the serial # on the bolt would be nice to see....No serial # on the bolt sleeve or safety, which is correct....Can't identify marks on the underside of the bolt though...Bodes

I got this recently from a friend who bought it from a vet in the 60s. He is not a gun collector and just got it because it was nice and only a few bucks at the time.

Your bolt is an FN made piece, under German occupation of course. If you look closely at the underside of the handle you will see that the Waffenamt is E/140.

                    Hi Bodes

The maker/year is 945/1940 the markings of the bolt i do not know exactly because my rifle collection is not in my house, because of security reasons. But i will post the details of the bolt on Saturday

                    Regards
                    Herbert

Herbert, Just curious but what is the maker/year of the rifle with the K98k bolt and what are the markings on the bolt (bottom side of bolt handle)?...Bodes[/QUOTE]

The bolt is as stated - from a 98k not a 33/40 and being E/140 puts it from 1943 - to 1945 , from most likely a byf or ar code 98k, not a 33/40 from the factory by a longshot. No pics of serial of that bolt surprise me though.
