        With the 'NM' on the op rod and the absence of the hooded rear aperture I was wondering if it is a 'type 2' 1961 NM rifle. But I don't see the 'NM' on the windage adjustment knob.

        Superb condition!

          They must have over bought the NM op-rods, as they show up on a regular basis on rebuilds. It's not a NM rifle.

            Agreed. On a recent visit to the CMP, I seen a number of NM marked op rods on field grade SA M1's.
            Interested in the Gendarmerie - Schutzpolizei - Gemeinden - Feuerschutzpolizei - Wasserschutzpolizei - Etc. Looking For Anything Polizei Related!
