G43 with ZF4

Hello guys,

I found this G43 with its ZF4 scope in Belgium. According to the guy to whom I got the rifle, his father found it in a house near La Gleize after the war. He used to shoot with, then had it deactivated (Orion).
More pictures of the ZF4 come here. I'm pretty sure that the scope mount is a reproduction.

Unfortunatly the rifle's numbers are not matching, even if I heard that it was common at the end of the war.

Bolt and receiver serial numbers do not match, but the receiver has the machined surface which is really nice.....The scope has a low serial number and mount may be good....Hard to say, better photos would be nice....Bands appear to be reproductions.....Bodes

After looking at it again, I'm thinking the mount is bad too.....What is the WaA in the middle?......It doesn't look like 359 which is Walther.....Bodes

Yeah, those a far better photos.....It is definitely not WaA359.....Looks more like Waa135 which is Mauser.....Mauser did not make any Zf4 scope mounts...Bodes

Indeed. I didn't have any hope for the mount, while the scope itself is a nice low-numbered ZF4.
