PPK hoster? DRGM crosed rifles marked

I am not really that much into holsters but this looked like it might bew a good one and with the scarce marking on it. I did not pay a lot for it so no great loss if it is a fake. The only pistol in my entire collection that fits this holster is a PPk and it fits perfectly. I would be interested in any comments. I can add a photo of the PPk in the holster if needed.

    Thanks,

    Bill

A well worn small caliber holster there made by Akah. No marking on the underside of the top flap like "Walther PPK"? Otherwise it would be a generic holster for similar sized pistols. The Akah trademark is found on many small caliber holsters and is not considered rare in itself. It is the type of holster that is rare, such as a Party Leader PPK holster. You need to clean it up a bit for conservation purposes. A soft brush can remove a lot of the surface crud. Then look for a safe leather conservation product. Not neat's foot oil, lexol or pecard's. Ask around for different opinions.

german patent marking and AKAH trade mark.
Akah and geco and others were outfitters and were large enough firms
to own their own trademarks and marked their wears with their trademarks.
The holsters are for pp or ppk's. depending on the size.

                    Ppk

I have a PL PPK holster with these maker markings. as with mentioned care from other members... I would also fill holster inside w newspaper. I was told by another collector this helps holster keep its form

                    all the best

Paper is not good to hold holsters form. Paper draws moisture and if is not acid free will damage your holster.

Thanks for all the response's. First, As it is dried out I have applied a leather conditioner and it appears to be working. also stuffed newspaper into the holster to reshape it. That has also worked pretty well. The PPK fits quite nicely. Will not of course keep the pistol in it . As too the last comment/ This is a leather holster NOT paper. I only paid $75.00 for this so I think I did pretty well for an early PPK holster despite the condition that is slowly getting better.
