The word under the safety lever is Gesichert to indicate it is in the safety position. On the right side of the receiver there should be two Eagle/63 acceptance marks, and one Eagle/Swastika proof mark. The barrel and the breech block will also each have an Eagle/Swastika proof mark. Can't figure out the 42/14 marking described.

The fact that seller is sending blurry photos should be a huge warning to you in this day of digital photos.

Where is the fourth " Nazi " mark ? Post 16 describes where the 3 normal ones are . There should also an eagle 63 mark on the barrel but that is not an eagle-swaz . This should also have the " big-tilted" 63's . Where is the 42/14 mark ? Is there bluing in the 42/14 marks or is it silver in them ? Post 16 is a nice-honest looking example and your grips should be no lighter brown than that one . As gets stated here often " buy the gun - not the story " and I 'm pretty sure it was Zukov & Koniev that took Berlin . Not many GI's around for that party . Dave
