    can i sell this gun?

ok moved from the estand - posted in error
    ----------------------------------------
    Hi All

I have a straight bolt brno mauser that i want to part with, its definatly seen some action as the woodwork is dirty and has dings and dents, it has about 50% of the blueing left. at one time in its life it had the numbers 155 painted on to its stock, i really only bought this at the PA arms show as a restoration project, but never found the time. the bolt action is nice and smooth and head space was checked and all is good and it shoots well.

As i said, i do want rid of it, but im not sure of the PA laws, i know if falls under a C & R.. can i sell it as long as i see some ID or a C & R?

    Thanks Guys

    Craig,

Of course you can sell it! You can sell anything. You have several choices here about selling it:

    1. YOu could take it directly to a dealer and see what they'll offer you for it. Advantage is that it will sell fast then, but you won't get as much $$ for it.

    2. You could take it to a gun show. Not sure if you have any local shows coming up in your area? Advantage; will sell fast, and you might get more $$, but not guarenteed to sell, nor big$$.

    3. You could post it at an online auction. Advantage is you'll most likely get more $$ for it, but it's not guarenteed to sell right away either. Also these sites charge listing fees of course, and you'll have to transfer it through a dealer as well to ship it, if you are not licensed.

    4. You could post it here on the estand. Advantage is that it will go to a collector here, and you'll probably get good $$ for it, but again, it may take time to sell, and is not guareteed that it will sell either.

So really it depends on wheather you want to sell it fast, or want to make more $$ out of it? The choice is up to you.
