Unknown Rifle Sling - HElp?

HI. I'm in possesion of such a strange rifle sling. Have no idea of country of origin nor age. Any suggestions? It is marked AWM 77...

The sling appears to be for a Submachine Gun. I have seen an Italian MP38/42 with this type toungless buckle sling. Also an Austrian MP34. I believe the MP34 sling was a bit wider than the 38/42 . Seemed like the wide sling on the MP34 was a bit of overkill. But then they were a heavy gun.
