As always, best case scenarios to be sure..I would imagine the situation was somewhat different at the guns and with the troops as the supply chain became more compromised into August.
Many were amazed at the stockpiles that were captured and the amount destroyed in transit to the front..the Germans never suffered from a lack of ammunition production, but from a way to get it to the fronts. -
