This was a new pick-up which I could not turn down. All original including a late 1944 coded holster/extra mag. Note the two tone color on the barrel and receiver

It's a nice rig. This "plum" color on the frame is typical for mid-1944 Walthers as far as I taught here years ago.

Nice pistol. That holster is kind of a tough one to find. I see very few of that code. Not rare but certainly scarce.

I had never seen a DLU P38 holster. It is curious it is in capitals as three letter codes aren't normally .

dlu persisted in erroneously using capitalized codes till very late in the war.
