    StG45 kurz magazine

At the War and Peace Revival I found a kurz magazine coded SVW and with a 135 WaA. It was a fifteen round magazine and was stamped StG45. Has anyone seen somthing like this before. It supposedly came from a Swiss collector.

'SVW' is late war code for Mauser and WaA 135 for the same (mauser)...I cannot comment on Mauser building magazines for the Sturmgewehr.....Bodes

Claus Espeholt's site does talk about using a 15 round magazine for the MKb42(H), so perhaps this was made for the Sturmgewehr(?).....Can you post photos?....Bodes

Someone posted a MP44 here in the last year found in a barn that had
        the 15 round mag inserted.

            15 Round StG45 Magazine

I have a book, the Senich book, with a picture of a Mauser test model gun called the StG45 (M) with a 15 round mag. The gun was the successor to the Gerat 06.

              MP45 Magazines

Within the last 10 to 20 years a number of MP45 marked magazines surfaced. I know the man who got them from the German factory owner. The factory owner had produced MP43 mags in 1943 and MP44 mags in 1944. He assumed he would be making MP45 magazines in 1945 and stamped some MP45. After the MP45 mags had been made he found out about the nomencalture change to StG. The factory owner had to keep the MP45 marked magazines.

                StG45 Magazine

Mag came yesterday. It is for 10 rounds. It is about half the length of a regular MP44 magazine.

I have not been able to post pictures here. Sent pictures to Claus Espeholt yesterday. I would not be surprised if he had them up on his site.

Not true. The MP45 mags were a mistake, but they were issued.
