      thanks for that.

i'm afraid i don't know much about these.

can you tell me anything about it from the serial number/proof marks?

is it a private puchase piece? it does not have any waffenampt stamps.

      cheers, del.

It looks like it's 6th Variation RSHA pistol. Is the mag serialed to the pistol?

The 311 XXX serial number will place it as a Type Five SS/RSHA issue. Please provide the entire serial number and a better close-up photo

yes it's a deact - no other choice here i'm afraid.

don't have it in hand yet - will post better pics when it arrives.

thanks for the info regarding the SS/RSHA issue. was not aware of these at all.

              cheers, del.

Understand and it's a damn shame to deface such a piece of history.

ppk arrived today. here are some pics of it.

these things are hard to photograph with the high polished finish.

hope i did ok on this one. have been looking for a decent wartime pistol.

                    cheers, del.

Nice PPK I used to have a deact WW2 example very similar to that one!

Here are a couple of pictures of it:

                        Glock 26,
Nice find. Your PPK is definitely SS issue.

                          many thanks Steve.

i am guessing that i have not been fortunate enough to find a serial number ppk that can identify the original owner?

not complaing at all. was not even aware of these ss issue pistols a week ago! lucky to come across it.

sadly the clip has no serial number stamped on it.

were these mags with the finger extensions issued with the pistols or were they purchased seperatley?

                          cheers, del.
