Hi Guys, thanks for the comments and the link. I will certainly add some pics once I get the rifle.

I am interested in the different types of ammo for these rifles. There is a list of the different types that were available for this and the PTRD, but the pic is not longer on the website. I take it that the rounds can be identified by different coloured tips? Can anyone tell me what they were?

I have these rounds, and a PTRS charger clip, which I purchased this summer at a show from some Czech guys. These are inert, of course, and are in relic condition. All have had the primers killed by the application of oil. All are marked "3 43". I was pleased to pay for £40 for the lot. I thought that was a good price?

        Cheers, Ade.

There is plenty of 14,5mm in Central/Eastern Europe. It is quite easy to find them, same as all Russian ammo. I don't know why, but Russians droped amunition everywhere.

More info about amunition is on: http://www.geocities.com/russianammo/145mm.html#4

            Best Regards

Hi Guys, can anyone show a good clear photo of the ammo bag which was used to carry the rounds in? I have on or two period pics but more would be very welcome.

                Cheers, Ade.
