An original MG42 made by 'bnz'. It has been used by Austrian army postwar (BH marking) and has also been refinished post war - looks like a phosphate finish which isn't correct. The buttstock is also not original, MG74 type? It is missing rear AA sight, the feed tray is for 7.62mm, also the barrel converted as well.

As for price they differ all around Europe, but this one would need a few original parts to be added to it, but even then, the finish etc would be wrong! I'd say around 1600 euro but please wait for other opinions. Hope that helps

      Hello.This is a MG42 from 1944 (PJ-bnz).The producer is "Steyr".This one is a early one from 1944.produced ca. February 1944.
the buttstock is postwar from an austrian MG74.the feetray is postwar too.
the gripstick is from the producer "Carl Eickhorn" (cof / WaA 519).
the bipod is from 1943 and modified from a "Waffenmeister".
this MG42 was used at postwar at the austrian army.(ÖBH - Österreichisches Bundesheer).
When you want more infos please show more and better pics.please from all markings too.

          Yes,how Patty D said.its refinished looks like phosphate finish.MG42 from this age was burnished.Latewar MG42 was phophated.(end of 1944 and 1945).
the price is differ in europe.my private opinion is 1200-1300 Euro. Possible 1400 or 1500 Euro.
supply and demand makes the price.

deactivation certificate is from Saint-Étienne, France. If old spec, might be able to dismount the barrel also. As not all original...I would stay in the lower...1100-1200€ as you would need to get the right buttstock and feed tray.
