New Holster!

[R_Hessian]

While I was at the Reno gun show heading out for a beer I saw the following holster and bought it. I bought it for a couple of reasons; 1. I have never seen a pigskin HP holster 2. The stitching is just great and while showing age really stands out very well.

I have the reg. leather holsters black and brown but this pigskin HP is a first for me.

Nice HP holster. Is this not just pebbled leather though? Pigskin usually shows numerous quill holes.

You could be right, I guess I have always thought that this " pebbled " look meant pigskin?

Here are my two pebbled Hi Power holsters. Like Robert's, both are jkh manufactured. The brown holster is dated 43, the black is 4 dated. In my experience pebbled Hi Power holsters are not frequently encountered.

It's interesting that the inside of the black jkh 4 holster was dyed black. The stitching is still white so this was done at the same time the exterior was dyed.

Great holsters Robert and Jim. I agree with Jim. The Pebble grain HP holsters are somewhat scarce, but I would not clasify them as being super rare or anything. Just a bit harder to find than the common HP holsters are right now.

Thanks, I was pleased with what I saw and thought it might be a good buy. Again, this is the first pebble grain HP holster I have seen, I have had and do see plenty of the smooth leather holsters.

I would like someday to find a nice pebble grain p38 holster... that would be nice, then I could sell one of my extra brown HP's to help pick up the cost.
