            Ade,

Thanks for the pics of the 9mm PPsH-41. The magazine housing closeup was especially useful.

            Thanks again,

            Johnnie

              Thanks a lot!!!

Any idea, was the barrel replaced by new 9mm, or rechambered?

Hi Mietek, the barrel appears to be a replacement. Look at the threaded end? I do not know where the barrel came from.

                Cheers, Ade.

Here is another shot of the mag housing. I would love to own this gun. I first saw it aged 5 years old and have covetted it almost ever since

                  Cheers, Ade.

                    Ahhhh a true collector

I don't see how it holds the magazines in place, where's the catch?

                      Hi,

Here is a better pic which shows some kind of mag release catch I believe.

The pics are not brilliant as I had to take them through the glass case.

                      Cheers, Ade.

Hmm looks awkward, I think I would prefer to stick to the MP-40 than take that up.

Anyone know if the standard PPSh-41 drum feeds 9mm?

Hmm, just tried it and they definatly fit and it looks like they feed out of the magazine as well.

Hard to test without a 9mm barrel though.

                          Hi Adrian.

                          nice pics, thanks

I'm not sure how does look barrel from mosin-nagant. Some of WW2 PPSh were with mosin's barrel cut for half. Is it possible that this one is from mosin?

                          Best Regards

Hi Mietek, the barrel cannot be a Mosin Nagant one as they are 7.62mm and not 9mm.

                            Cheers, Ade.

                              Hi Adrian.

I thought: mosin barrell, cut for half, used in PPSH 7,62mm, rechambered to 9mm.

                              Possible solution?

Could be also other MG barrel? In Poland some Stens produced by Homeland Army were with barrels from Polish version of BAR- rkm wz 27 7,92mm, of course cut for half and rechambered for 9mm.

                              Best Regards
