    Weapon in Use

    Hi folks,

It´s my first post here, so take it easy, guys!!

Well, after look at all those great images you all post here, I was wondering: why not post pictures of Lugers, P-38´s, PP, Mausers and so on in actual use?

I always love to see pictures of soldiers carrying the guns that we now own. Don´t you think so?

However, as I´m still a stupid guy - who don´t know how to post images - I´ll wait for your posts.

    Regards,

    Douglas.

Great idea! I'll try to take some pictures from some books I have. One of my favorite photos of all time is a shot of an SS Infantryman in the hedrow country of Normandy. He is wearing a cammo smock and dot pattern trousers. In his hand is holding a Browning Hi-Power! with hammer cocked and ready!
Does anyone have a copy of that photo????? Please post if you do! I love that shot!
That guy just looks so intense and mean, and ready to fight!

        I have a few pics

        Hi,

I knew that you all would love this idea!!!

Jokes apart, I also have a few pictures in some books and even in my PC, but I´m not able to post them here

Anyone could do this for me? I can send the images through e-mail. If I´m not mistaken, I also have the picture that Matt´s talking about. It´s a SS machine gunner during the Ardennes, holding a Hi-Power. In fact he is wearing a US Army smock!!

Just let me know who can help me with this.

        Regards,

        Douglas.

No that is not the picture I was talking about. I have that picture. You are correct that one is a machine gunner who is holding his MG42 in one hand, and has the Hi-power in his other hand. The photo I am refering to is very rare! It is in Normandy and the SS trooper is wearing a camo covered helmet, camo pattern SS smock, and dot pattern trousers. He is crouch down in the hegdrow and is holding the Hi-power pointing downwards with hammer cocked. It is a great shot. I have it in one of my videos! I was just wondering if anyone has seen it in books, or has a copy of it anywhere!?

            Matt,

Now I remember this shot. You´re correct. It´s guy wearing a complete dot pattern tunic and holding a HP, who appears in a Deutsche Wochenschau newsreel or something. in fact I saw this scene in a documentary about Rommel at the Discovery Channel a couple of months ago.

Unfortunately, I never saw a picture of him.

              Action photos!

Alright I got some photos of weapons in use. This first one is really good one. It shows a SS field police NCO using an Erma EMP on a suspected commisar. Note also the Soldier to the right wearing the luger.

Here is one of my favorite shots, since is shows one of my favorite weapons! This is a photo of two Luftwaffe paratroopers. One on the left is armed with the rarely seen FG42. The one on the right has the MP40.

OK, I know this photo is a re-enactor, but it just looks great. He armed with the lovely MG34, and is also carying a Walther P38.

Here is the photo you were referring to earlier. The SS trooper in the center is holding an MG42, and has a Browning Hi-Power in his other hand. Note also he has a fighting knife tucked inside his tunic.

Here is an interested photo. This infantry squad is mostly armed with K98s, however the two soldiers on the right both have pistols! The front one is a P38, but the second guy looks to have either a Browning Hi-power, or possibly a Radom P35p.
