    MG34 Opinions

    Good day Guys

This MG34 is for sale locally and I would appreciate some advice on whether it looks complete from the pictures and whether there is anything specific to look out for. It is not numbers matching. I have no experience when it comes to firearms so any advice will be appreciated

Not being matching it looks standard in all...except for that screw...there under the bipod. No special issues. Can you dismount, how are the barrel and bolt deactivated? What is the maker's code?

          Carles

PS the AA sight is a plus.

              Hi Barry,

Typical mixed and matched MG34 similar to many of the ex Russian capture examples on the market ,may have a few bits renumbered and electro penciled to match. Note the nice early date and cra (Maget) production code which is always good.
Its always nice if you can find a matched one. MG34's are not uncommon and the price should reflect the fact it is not mint and matched. Whatever it is,good, bad or indifferent they look GREAT as part of a display with a belt of dummy rounds hanging out of the feed tray

LOL I could sell you an MP40 with the same number 7079

Well, this might confirm that I am losing my sight or the pics appear too dark in my screen.

                A couple of details:
-The pistol grip and trigger group might be phosphated. You can see the auto trigger is black and the rest is grey. Perhaps very late war or post war assembling/production?
                - The cocking handle seems repaired. The rivets are not rounded, as if had been hammered.

Thanks for the comments Andrew It was priced as one that was made up from mixed parts and a good deal as it was local and I did not have to worry about getting one into the country.

Carles-thanks for the additional information. I also worry about my eyesight after hours off staring at my laptop monitor looking at TR items I will get some better pictures of the marked areas when I am back home.
