Russian sniper M.Nagant?

Hello people,
For some time I've been wondering if the Russians used the normal type Mosin Nagant or a modified type as a sniper rifle. I've seen the scope and I've got the feeling that the bolt of a normal type M.N wouldn't be able to be slide under it. (The arm is straight and should be bent to fit.)
Maybe someone has a few good pictures of this famous rifle?

The Mosin Nagant snipers were basically the same but had a bent-down bolt handle.

Thanks for the info. The reason I asked this is that I was offerd a scope for the M.N. and I 'd wonder if I could use this on the normal rifle. I've still one question: How do you bent the bolt arm so that I can use it as an sniper rifle?
