Is the missing end of the piston (op rod), a part of the deactivation process?
Are the op rod and bolt welded together?
Something has been done to the barrel as well.....The pin's placement has been sloppily peened into place.....The 'X' on the side of the receiver indicates Russian rework....Bodes

The barrel as a channel cut into underside of it which is hidden by the hand heat shield and it is pinned. Think many of these guns were used after war and possibly still being used. Mine has some nice WaA marks so all in all im happy this my beauty.
