Just picked up this Japanese Holster and it seems smaller than normal .. Not handled many of these before .. Is this for a baby nambu ?? Any help most appreciated. Brent

I have one for sale here as well, its a very nice looking holster you have there Brent.
These have a definite appeal to them on an aesthetic level for sure.

Has this Type 26 holster been cut down? It looks like about 1" or so of the "toe" of the holster has been chopped off. Take a look at the T-26 holster on the E-Stand and you can see what I am talking about.

I've seen a number of WWII bring-back holsters (mostly P.08) over the years that had the "toe" cut off. I have no idea why anyone would do this, but it seems to be something that some of the G.I.'s liked to do to souvenir holsters.

It is cut off, the strap should terminate at the very tip of the holster and not extend an inch past it like it does here with this(Brent's) example. This will of course affect its value quite a bit. Shame, its otherwise such a nice piece. Good catch Alan.
