    Jager 32

    Hello all.
Someone has contacted me with a jager 32 pistol brought home by his father with papers and has asked if i wanted to purchase it. Does anyone have a picture or know anything about these guns? Are they rare i have never heard of them and ball park what one may be worth depending on condition. Thanks Ed

Imperial Jager pistols are rare and extremely collectible. Here is a link to a thread on the subject which is located on IMO the best German pistol forum on the net:

You need to register to see pictures and post but well worth the effort.

Thanks for the reply I guess they are worth a good bit depending on condition. I found a magazine that sold for 300

There has been a minty civilian job (not military accepted) on one of tyhe online auction sites for some time with a reserve of $2k. It was also at the SOS at the same asking price.

          Thanks for the replies.
This one has capture paper and has been sitting in a drawer for the last 60 years with its holster. The vets son said he didn't even know it has paper because they were shoved in the holster. Im planning on going to look at it this sunday and possibly buy it. Im not really interested in it but if I can sell it I can get other stuff im looking for. Also going to look at a P38 with paper from another vets family.

If you get it please post pics here and on Still's forum. Of particular interest is the holster; I'm not sure if there was a specific holster for it or one of the generic .32 holsters of the period was used. Also be sure to check for a military
            acceptance on the piece itself.

It will be a very small crown over Gothic letter (Fraktur)

Look on left side of pistol. Above the trigger you will see a slotted screw and above that a large diameter pin. The acceptance will be on the frame plate between the slotted screw and on the pin. It will be a crown with Fraktur (Gothic) letter underneath. The letter will be an M,L or G.

No WaA, this is WWI pistol.

Also check front of grip; there might be a unit marking there.

Okay so I went and looked at the Jager 32. It is serial number 2300 in really nice condition with acceptance stamps 3 of them. It appeared to be in a minty 42 dated dla42 pp holster with an added strap through the belt loop to carry as a vest gun. The mag that was in the gun was a ppk and the extra mag in the holster was for an astra that would not even fit in the gun? So I offered the guy 1500 for it and he told me a gun shop told him 3 to 6k!!!
I offered him 2k which I thought was high without an original mag but no go he wanted 3k.
