(quick answer needed please) is this holster correct for a mid to late war Model 27?

from searching it seems it is.. however I would like any second/third opinions before I "pull the trigger" so to speak.

    Thanks!

Well I had to pull the trigger with no input. Seems good to me unless anyone says otherwise.

I know I didn't give very much time but I forgot about the auction. Paid 65 for it.

      Thanks,
      -Brian

Could be a post war police P-38 holster...they carried aluminum frame P-38's until near the ninetys or so, and then they dumped many on the american market. the frames are anodized...on the guns...the slides are steel...i recall the guns and holster combos were aroun 250-to 300 or so at the time, they also carried concealed holsters that were light brown and had suspender straps. Thats what it looks like to me...sorry if i'm right. Usually allwartime ho,sters have some waffenampts somewhere and the gun designation on the back...look it over carefully and see if it has any anywhere...but thats my feelings on this holster...you didn't get burned , but if its west german it wasn't a big bargain either, but a good user.

It is not a P38 holster...
If you look at the back you can see a perfect outline of a Model 27.

I am just making sure it is wartime... which from searching around, other known wartime examples seem to have the same holster.

          Thanks for your input, though.

I think the 27 has the extra flap coming up from below...are you sure it isn't a post war P-38 police holster (w.German)looks too big....couldn't tell the size, but the p38s do have the top clip pouch ...if wartime it should still have some marking somewhere....sorry I couldn't be more help.

                This is a CZ27 holster.
For reference regarding the holsters patterns for CZ27 pistols check this nice website: http://www.tague.at/pistolen/
You can find the CZ 27 in the menu at the left side of your screen.

Looks good to Me.I have one similar to this and the only trace of a marking is a faint mark stamped on the inside of the flap "oub" (Anton Jellenick)

                        Thank you Lew..
Is it an ink stamp or stamped into the leather?
I am not surprised that either would be gone after this amount of time.

When I get it in hand I will look closely for any marking.

OK thanks for the info.. it always helps to know what you are looking for.
In what general region of the flap is your stamp located?

I only ask about an inkstamp because some of the other foreign made WW2 German holsters (like for FN 1922 and Femaru) have an ink stamp with the pistol designation.

                            thanks,
                            Brian
