My next possible acquisition is a WaA140 marked Nazi High Power. Are you able to please take a peek at this and let me know if it's aok. The grip screws maybe replacements but I think original finish and grips.

Thanks. I'll paste this decent info I found on the net;

FN made approximately 58,000 Hi powers from 1936-May29 1940 when they surrendered to Germany. Till the first post-liberation Hi powers were made at FN in October 1944-the Germans made 319,000.

Nazi Hi powers were made under three waffenamt codes-WaA613, WaA103, and WaA140-these are early to late. All early Nazi HPs were tangent sights (vast majority of pre-war HPs were tangent and slotted.)

Only extremely early WaA613 occupation HPs are tangent and slotted-vast majority of the tangent Nazi made HPs are WITHOUT stock slots.WaA613 HP were made from late 1940-early 1941-all are tangent sighted serial # are around 44500-65200 range.

Next waffenamt code was WaA103 made during 1941 only they are tangent sights-NO stock slot, serial # range was 65200-95000. Last waffenamt code was WaA140 at end of 1941 they first made tangent sight unslotted HPs then fix sight HPs, the tangent HPs are serial # range 95000-135,000.

Fix sight HPs with the WaA140 code appear at serial #150,000, leaving a gap between tangent and fixed sight production. Fixed sight WaA140 go till the end of 1942 at serial #200,000.

Beginning 1943 a new serial code is used starting at 01a till 99999a at the beginning of 1944 when 01b begins and runs to about 6300b and the liberation of the FN factory.
