    Kool German Military Armoury Photo...

I know people would rather see actual firearms etc., in this section, but who knows - maybe a piece or two that is shown here is currently now in your collection....

Really neat privately taken 6 cm x 9 cm photo taken inside the Armoury of a German Military Barracks. Note the rows of Mauser Rifles, Officer Sabres (!!) and (especially) the wooden framed Luger pistol operational / maintenance chart hanging on the wall (top left) that the camera partially captured....just imagine what that Luger chart would bring price wi$e today !!

Fantastic photo! A shame about the arrows and lines though. Thanks for sharing.

As to the lines and arrows, the owner has to protect his photo, or he will later see it being sold as an "original".

Nice pic - love the sabers!

I am sure they are oil bottles - but at first glance looked like bottles of "Bols" (Dutch genevers and liqueurs) over by the wall -

I understand the concern but isn't protection of a photo best accomplished through use of a watermark?

a simple watermark can be too easy to remove.
You still get the idea from the picture.

Thanks for sharing.. can I go to this place and live??

As I mentioned in my first post - I think this is a fantastic photo.

Regarding watermark removal - are they all easy to remove? I ask because this is what I see used by auction houses and picture dealers on Ebay.

They look like EM sabres - I guess they are issued ones, very rare, 99% you find today are privately bought

You can make them tougher to remove by using opacity and drop shadows.. but still can be removed.
I have seen instances of this happening then someone using the photos for their own content, or reprinting them on period paper and passing them off as "original".
