    .22 kit

[QUOTE=glasmanden].... glasmanden, This is the kit that comes with a floorplate adaptor to replace the 98k floorplate, it also had a couple of five shot magazines with it. The first model was single shot this is not the single shot version but the later model that requires the clip and floorplate.. There are two types of floorplate adaptor and two types of clips which can be used with this later model..bill

I would assume there is at least three reasons, cheaper to shoot .22 cal. than the standard 8m/m round of the 98k, shorter shooting range in a built up area ie: as around a large town, training of young children DJ, HJ, BDM etc.. They are fun to shoot.. I take one of mine out and shoot it in a 98k several times a year, it is great fun There were also .22 conversion units for lugers, I have never seen a war time WW2 conversion kit for a P-38, there are pre war inserts, single shot 4m/m for Mauser 1914 and 34 pistols..BILL

                      22

                      glasmandan,

I hope you don't mind if I post my .22 kit on your thread but I thought some of the markings might be neat to post. Please take note of the " 1943 " date stamp on the safety, does anyone else have a safety as such stamped also note the letters above the date stamp... any ideas?

                      Regards,
                      Robert
