I picked these up with a couple German marked Carcano's from the son of a vet you had them in storage for many years. This was captured in some German village from the locals who may or may not have been too friendly to the allies being there. What they would have used it for is beyond me. This one is probably the lowest serial numbered one in existence. Even had the tiny cleaning rods in the trap. These were made to train the little kids in how to properly shoot and care for their rifles when they eventually went into service. They were made as an identical 2/3 scale to the M1891 Cavalry Carbine and fired a wooden blank. Unfortunately the old owner let his kids play with it and the stock is a little beat up and the metal has some rust.
