Here is my response on another forum where opinions were asked about this holster.

"Jack, the marking shown in your last image is a property stamp for the Vienese police: Eigentum der Sicherheitswache / Wien. This post-WWII holster displays rivets to secure the belt loop and strap. The "Party Leader" eagle was recently stamped on to the flap of this holster, breaking the original finish surface and leaving raw leather seen around the eagle's head and wings. The holster color is black fading to brown, not the prescribed color of III Reich PL holsters.

These are facts, not opinion, resulting in the conclusion that this is a very bad bogus PL holster. "

you mind either posting or PM me the website or forum where this discussion was about this holster. I want to make sure the seller was not the one that knew this information and tried to pass it on to me as legit

                      Grip:
Very little can be determined from this photo. The angle results in half of it out of focus. If you can manage better photos, please include one of the lower rear inside edge to determine if the reinforcing metal is present. The bottom does display some similarity in finish to recent reproductions.

PPK High Leader Grip and Holster questions

I have been under the opinion that the original grips had steel inserts in them and the molded solid plastic grips were the bogus ones. ??????

Generally that is a correct opinion. I am not aware of any improvement in the production of bogus PL grips. Bogus grips also are made of a different plastic resulting in a heavier weight and lack of flexibility that was inherent in the injection molded plastic used for the Walther grips.
