I've posted before about my concerns with my small collection of non-firing guns in New York City, and even at one point considered selling them. I've since spoken to various police offices around the city, written about a dozen letters...and finally found in the city's administrative code that these were banned without a theatrical permit. As I side business I have produced a sitcom pilot, so we did start a production company.
So after several subway rides out to the proper office, then after several hundred dollars...I have the theatrical permits and can now 100% own any deactivated firearm! Whew! Of course this has to be renewed every year. But at least I know my MP44 won't get me into trouble.
