I once came accross a Panzerfaust in one of the forests of Northern Poland. I thought it was not worth carrying this rusty piece of tube back home so I just left it ...
Moreover, there are places in Poland where you can find rusty WWII helmets, panzerfausts just lying on the ground - noone bothers to pick them up - waste of time considering pricing for those in Poland - I am serious here.
Suggest ways to "smuggle" them elsewhere and we might work a pretty neat connexions here
In the newspaper some weeks ago there was a nice articel
about two mens who recovered 100 Panzerfausts from a lake in austria, these Panzerfaust were in a pretty nice
condition, because the mud preserves them very well, just like brand new !!! Finaly they caught them because they were selling the stuff via ebay ....
All this reminds me of the time, not long after 9/11, when I bought a panzerfaust at Beltring and brought it home via Gatwick airport. There were a few double-takes amongst the security people, who were busy confiscating pens, nail scissors, etc. when they asked what I had in the bag and I told them it was German rocket launcher. It all ended well, but some very deft and diplomatic explaining was required.

Heh..fairytales...that WAS true, but 10 years ago.Thousands of people walk with the metal detectors across Poland everyday, so...look at links below, everyday there are new posts, new photos and...new discoveries.

This I find amuseing and is something I would have no problem doing, I can imagine the look on thier face when the words rocket launcher came out.

Well, that is true this is not the same as 10 yrs ago and 10yrs ago was not the same as 50yrs ago.
The thing is that few explorers know where to explore and they all go to "common" and known places (battlefields, documented front routes etc.). Of course, there you won`t find any things just lying around (the exception is the Hel Pennisula).
I myself know 2 pre-war SS training grounds in my area never discovered by any metal-detecting ppl and this is really interesting to be there, believe me.
